Powerflushing

There are many thousands of ageing central heating systems with circulationand boiler noise problems caused by the accumulation of sludge, corrosion deposits and scale, but traditional methods of flushing just don't get rid of all the debris, and problems quickly return.

Powerflushing is an expression used (in the heating trade over many years) to denote the process by which heating systems are forcibly cleansed using water at high velocity, but low pressure, so that no physical damage is caused to the system.

The process can be made even more effective with the addition of powerful cleansing and mobilising agents. The powerflushing process is a versatile, and highly effective method of flushing heating systems.

By utilising the flushing pump, it enables heating systems to be purged of sludge, scale and corrosion deposits with minimal dismantling and disruption. Powerflushing is an excellent way to pre-commission clean new heating systems, to remove excess flux, swarf and other debris from the system.

Descaling: We can offer a controlled chemical cleaning service for central heating systems subject to a free no obligation survey. A professional service that can chemically treat and flush deposits from your system, with minimal disturbance and disruption to the normal operation of the system, often without disconnectingthe boiler or any radiators. The powerflow unit, combined with high performance powerflushing chemicals, and an instantaneous flow reverser device, will dislodgeand mobilise deposits and corrosion which resist traditional system cleaning
methods.

Once sludge and deposits are loosened and mobilised they are powerflushed out of the system and replaced with fresh clean water. At the end of the flushingprocess, the system is full of clean water, and re-instatement of the system to normal operation, with the addition of a Corrosion Inhibitor to protect against further corrosion takes only a short while. Some of the symptoms that indicate that a Central Heating system would benefit from power flushing and descaling are:

Increased fuel consumption
System slow to warm up
Some radiators partially or completely cold
Radiators need frequent bleeding
Strange and unpleasant noises from the boiler
Repeated pump failure

Any of these symptoms could indicate that the system has circulation and flow problems resulting from internal corrosion, scale, and sludge formation. Powerflushing can remove these undesirable products, and purge and replace aggressive water, quickly restoring circulation and efficiency, and prevent further
problems.
